A service revolver, originally created by Colt for the Union army during the war of the North and South. The Nickel, comes in .44 caliber with an 8" barrel on a nickel frame and gold cylinder. This very unique piece is offered with simulated ivory grips. Authentic in every detail to give you the same experience as during the Civil War. Although the resourcefully equipped Confederate soldier could not compete with the Union repeating rifles, it was a different story when it came to revolvers. These handguns did not typically require a special type of ammunition, making it easy for Southern Troops to acquire and operate. This model (pictured above) is a replica of the revolver found by Josey after his family was killed and his house burned down by Northern Raiders. This is one of the many guns used by Josey, but it is a gun of great significance. It comes in .36 cal. with a 7 1/2" barrel. IN STOCK
